About The Girl

     Alexis DeProfio is a young woman who appears perpetually twelve but is old enough to drink and have a mortgage, we promise. She never completely felt a snug fit with this world, preferring instead to adventure through in her vivid imagination and the worlds created by her favorite speculative fantasy works. After years of observing the world this way, taking notes that evolved into short stories, pieces of flash fiction and full novels-in-progress, an English teacher suggested Alexis begin sharing her writing with the world.

     And here we are.

     Alexis is currently pursuing her Bachelors in Creative Writing at Southern New Hampshire University, as well as completing two novels focused around female heroines, and a handful of short stories. She has already completed a variety of short stories that are perpetually out for perspective publishing. Alexis lives in New Hampshire with her husband and fellow writer, Joseph, and her two children (read “puppies”) Antonia and Maximus.”
